Diversity Day

There are festivals all year round, but the Diversity Day Festival sticks out as an annual favorite for the community of Shelton, and especially the Gaelhawks Robotics team. Diversity Day is a festival held by Pitney Bowes to celebrate the diverse cultures of the world. This festival is a great experience for everyone who attends and volunteers at it. There are many different types of cultural games to play, and various attractions to entertain both children and adults. There were booths that represented different countries, from America to Japan! The Gaelhawks Robotics team volunteers at this event every year, and it is particularly exciting because the team displays the robot and demonstrates how it works.

At Diversity Day 2006, team members of the Gaelhawks Robotics team led two game tables, Mancala and Parcheesi. Other team members operated the robot, and others entertained spectators by "playing" with the robot.

Volunteering at this event is the Gaelhawks?special way of say "thanks" to Pitney Bowes for all they have done to support our team.
